Key Responsibilities:
IMS troubleshooting as their primary skillset
Support 5G lab operations
Fault, Configuration, Administration, Performance (FCAP) management support
Create and monitor daily/hourly KPI dashboards of most important Core KPIs, specific to the CNEs in the lab focused on Availability, Accessibility, Retainability, Integrity, Traffic & Capacity utilization and analyze degradations in those KPIs. Provide recommendations to improve the monitored KPIs
Collect and analyze internal traces, internal logs, probe traces during lab & field tests to assist in root cause analysis of failed and dropped tests and low throughput data sessions. Analyze call flows and identify abnormal issues for failures.
Open AR’s on encountered issues for all that involves the defined CNE, and then be prepared to work on these AR’s until closed (HP support, L2 and L3
Collect logs, call traces, traceroutes necessary to resolve the Assistance Requests (ARs).
Assist in alarm monitoring - respond to exceptional system alarms - resolve any exceptional issues for the defined CNEs
Troubleshooting site-level issues (Level 1 and Level 2) for the defined CNEs, but may require additional and/or, if applicable, 3rd party support, for more complex issues (Level 3).
Participate with in the diagnosis and remediation of network issues that involve defined CNEs.
Network Element Configuration and provide support for network operations responsibilities.
Assist O&M staff to carry out tasks and activities related to day-to-day Operations at NOC.
Preventive maintenance
Perform daily health checks on defined CNEs, including health check tools and call processing sanity testing on all lab environments
Preventative data collection, high-level analysis, Technical consultancy
End user experience for 5G (voice & data) and tuning of the management mechanism(s). For example, this may involve fine-tuning Core network timers, load balancing, geo redundancy or the alarm levels to eliminate unnecessary alarms.
Provide advice for the cloud operations related decision making for in scope Network Elements
Attend conference calls and/or meetings that involve defined CNE.
Required Skills:
Experience with core network would be a plus
Needs to have good Packet Core troubleshooting mindset. Ideally end to end 5G core across IMS, UDM, Packet Core etc but packet core focused if possible.
Experience working with tickets, lab environment, looking at protocols, trace data and logs and trying to debug and disposition issues.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent advanced degree
