In your Shift Supervisor role, you'll help us deliver better care for billions of people around the world.
Provide mill wide leadership on rotating shifts and promote growth and development by working closely with all operating teams on performance management objectives, various initiatives, and problem solving.
Responsibilities:
- Key decision maker for mill for any operational decisions, i.e., labor flow, severe weather calls, local emergencies, escalation, etc.
- Demonstrate safety and quality as a value by performing all job functions safely, while also complying with corporate policies, safety policy, quality policy, and site procedures, in an effort to reduce risk and eliminate loss.
- Practice and support application of the 3 Safety and Quality Obligations.
- Provide coaching and mentoring for team members with the intent to build capability for a flexible, more efficient manufacturing environment.
- Provide problem solving and troubleshooting support across the Mill.
- Ensure labor is properly allocated to ensure safe staffing levels and to optimize labor costs.
- Key process ownership: operations labor schedule, including vacation process, holiday run schedules, etc.

In this role you will join the Kimberly-Clark North America Manufacturing team and report to the Plant Manager.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and a demonstrated ability based on extensive experience and education or equivalent work experience required.
- Strong knowledge and background in manufacturing operations, including technology with a demonstrated ability to translate that knowledge into execution of process and capacity improvements.
- 5+ years of experience in a variety of internal / external plant and staff assignments, including maintenance and operations.
- Experience with coaching and leading team.
Preferred: Experience and expertise related to Kimberly-Clark procedures and processes to Lean manufacturing practices and Lean/continuous improvement.
