Senior Systems Engineer - Azure
On-site 1 day per week in San Francisco
Responsibilities:
- Create a strategy for establishing a secure and well-managed enterprise environment in Azure.
- Azure Log Analytics and automation account, Azure IaaS Monitoring and Management, manage and monitor IaaS deployments.
- Automation technology options within Azure, PowerShell, JSON, Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates.
- Drive Identity and access and configuration management, and monitoring strategy for Azure.
- Drive decision making. Identify alternatives, pros, and cons, and make recommendations.
- Deploying Azure VMs (Windows Server and Linux) in a highly available environment.
- Create a strategy plan for deployments, define structure for production/DR environments.
- Report to management daily on project status, deployment results, and daily operations
- Work with vulnerability team to remediate on issues.
- Develop strategies to meet business goals.
- Assist in the design and standardization of modern application stacks within the Azure platform.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years in system engineering
- 5+ years’ experience in Azure Cloud
- 5 years’ experience in Windows engineering
- Ability to support business requirements and provide appropriate solutions using technology.
- Experience with large, enterprise core platforms and system integration technologies.
- Extensive experience with active directory and azure active directory, ztad, integration with MFA, Okta, cyberark, sailpoint
- Strong knowledge of scripting languages and automation of repetitive tasks through scripting languages like PowerShell.
- Experience administrating and managing Microsoft Landing Zone, Azure, Intune, and other Microsoft Cloud technologies.
- Ability to collaborate with software development, software integration specialists, and business process owners.
- Solid understanding of the application lifecycle process, including requirement analysis, quality assurance, design, scheduling, implementation, issue tracking, version control, and deployment.
