Job Description: Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Shift: Night Shift (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with a specialization in Telemetry for a position in a Cardiac Telemetry Unit. The role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients with various cardiac-related diagnoses, including Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Myocardial Infarction (MI), chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias, and vascular issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care to patients with telemetry needs such as CHF, MI, dysrhythmias, hypertension, pleural effusion, and sepsis.
- Monitor and interpret heart rhythms and ensure timely interventions.
- Work in a telemetry unit with a 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio, managing a census of 16 rooms.
- Use Epic for charting, along with Pyxis and SBAR communication tools.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide care that meets patient needs.
Patient Population:
Adults and Geriatrics.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Telemetry.
- 1st time travelers are accepted.
Certifications Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale Certification
