Job Description About the role:
You will perform maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, calibration and repair of a variety of circuits, components, analytical equipment, controls and instruments for laboratory and manufacturing equipment. You will report to the Associate Project Engineering Director in Social Circle, GA.
How you will contribute:
- Follow sequence of testing from calibration procedures for instruments and equipment and ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
- Prepare technical reports, perform trending on equipment and processes, and determine acceptability of product and processes based on data analysis and specification.
- Help with outside audits for vendors in contract calibration laboratories.
- Create equipment file for each piece test/manufacturing equipment requiring calibration.
- Set up standards and special purpose laboratory equipment to evaluate other instruments and test equipment.
- Assist engineers in evaluation plans and procedures, to maintain accuracy of measuring, recording and indicating instruments and equipment.
- Investigate failures and instruments that are out of tolerance, and determine acceptability of product and processes. Help prepare documentation of investigation findings.
- Help develop and implement technically defensible calibration procedures and new instruments being considered at the Facility.
- Develop relationships with customers with the concept that metrology is a service provider to the customer.
- Coordinate the assigned activities and schedules of calibrations throughout the facility, including routine and non-routine work.
- Make scientific judgments related to instrumentation problem solving.
What You Bring to Takeda:
- High School Diploma or GED required. 2+ years of experience
- Must have knowledge of Metrology concepts, including accuracy, precision and uncertainty. Can deal with moderately complex processes.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with personnel of all levels and participate in a team environment.
- Reads and understands P&IDs and advanced understanding of instrumentation, process and controls.
- Must have basic knowledge of PLC and digital based control systems and their instrumentation interfaces.
- Can work unsupervised and demonstrate judgments and initiative in problem resolution.
- Must have solid mathematical skills.
- Must be able to plan and complete assigned activities on time.
- Strong professional writing skills.
- Strong assessment and troubleshooting skills.
Important Considerations

As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product or putting anyone at the site in harm's way. You may:
- Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
- Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
- Work in a cold, wet environment.
- Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
- Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:
$18.85 - $29.62
The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position.
