Materials Operations Manager

Compensation:
- The role offers a competitive salary range of $130,000 to $150,000, based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with department heads to assess material requirements and supply needs across the organization.
- Manage the procurement process by purchasing materials and supplies that meet specified criteria and quality standards.
- Oversee and refine procedures for receiving and warehousing materials to ensure efficient operations.
- Direct the distribution of materials throughout the organization, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to various departments.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to maintain an optimal balance, particularly in emergency situations.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of materials management professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including negotiating terms to secure the best possible agreements.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of procurement activities, material quantities, and specifications.
- Assist in the development of accurate forecasts to anticipate future material needs and support strategic planning.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in materials management, with a strong background in overseeing procurement, receiving, and distribution activities.
- Solid understanding of supply chain management principles and inventory control systems.
- Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and aligning material supply with organizational demands.
- Familiarity with GlobalShop or similar inventory management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- A strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, capable of making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- A Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is required.
