As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the production capabilities and ensuring efficient manufacturing operations for a variety of materials, including plastic, wood, and steel. Key Responsibilities:
- Process Improvement: Evaluate and analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Develop and implement innovative solutions to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Manufacturing Expertise: Possess extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes relevant to plastic, wood, and steel. Utilize this expertise to optimize production methods, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Production Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality control, to provide technical support and guidance throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. Offer insights and recommendations to streamline workflows and enhance overall productivity.
- Design and Prototyping: Utilize Solidworks software to create detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings. Collaborate with the design team to prototype new products and ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Materials Selection: Work closely with materials suppliers to identify and source appropriate materials for various manufacturing processes. Ensure the use of high-quality materials that meet performance and safety standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. Facilitate and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects to optimize production efficiency.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive process optimization.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices. Implement and maintain safety protocols to promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Proven experience in the manufacturing industry with a focus on process improvement.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Solidworks for designing and analyzing manufacturing processes.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes for plastic, wood, and steel materials.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
