We are currently seeking a qualified Field Test Engineer towork on leading edge technology products. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments;
- Strong process orientation and discipline to ensure compliance with both Corporate and Customer procedures;
- Critical thinking, able to identify and implement better efficiencies and process improvements;
- Effective communication skills to interact professionally with all levels inside and outside the organization;
- Flexibility to take on additional projects and adapt to changes in priorities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in related field with a minimum of 5-8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree in related field with 4+ years of relevant experience;
- Knowledge of automatic train control systems concepts and principles as well as current existing signaling standards;
- Working knowledge of safety standards and practices required at project site;
- Experience in installation and testing of train control systems;
- Experience in customer interaction and adapting of their processes;
- Working knowledge of Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) products with respect to installation support and testing a strong asset;
- Experience in deploying fixed block signaling systems a strong asset;
- Field experience in a rail transit installation, test or support environment or similar technology application is of significance;
- Experience in support of field activities.
