Crescent is currently seeking an experienced commercial building engineer to join our engineering team,
on a 16 building (560,000 SF) portfolio of commercial properties in Boulder, CO. As the building engineer,
you will maintain and repair building HVAC equipment, perform maintenance calls on HVAC, electrical and
plumbing problems. You will also perform preventive maintenance on building equipment and maintain
the appearance of the equipment and mechanical rooms within the portfolio, while working with other
engineers in performing duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for performing tasks relative to the upkeep and monitoring of the electrical distribution system.
- Respond to work tickets for repairs in tenant spaces.
- Responsible for maintaining an inventory of parts and materials necessary for repairs.
- Assists other Operators with daily operational procedures in the Central Plant as needed.
- Responsible for taking daily BTU meter readings in all buildings, including third party vendors.
- Perform functions related to lighting maintenance including replacement of bulbs, ballasts, sockets and fixtures.
- Perform assigned preventive maintenance work orders.
- Responsible for making after hours rounds in building mechanical equipment rooms as needed.
- Responsible for the occasional follow up with electrical subcontractors working in the building.
- Assist the operators in maintaining the appearance of the Central Plant and all machinery.
- Responsible for after-hours emergency HVAC, fire alarm, electrical, and plumbing problems in all buildings and third-party entities.
- Troubleshoot, adjust, repair and maintain building heating and air conditioning units (VAV/PIB/VVT) in tenant spaces located in return plenums, etc.
- Repair and maintain building air handler unites including replacing belts, lubricating bearings, replacing pulleys, bearings, motors and fan cages.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
At least two years commercial building engineering experience, high school diploma or general education
degree (GED), trade or vocational school, high mechanical aptitude, or an equivalent combination of
education and experience, Carrier experience helpful. Valid Colorado Driver’s License and clear driving
record.
COMPENSATION and BENEFITS
The base hourly range for this position is expected to be $34.00 – $35.00 per hour, plus participation in
an annual discretionary bonus plan in the range of 0 – 5% of your base earnings. The actual pay may be
