Responsibilities
The Corporate Credit Research Analyst will be a member of the investment team. This position’s primary focus is on conducting fundamental credit analysis in both the investment grade and high yield credit markets. This position would work closely with our dedicated credit team and serve as a sector specialist for $3.0 billion of credit assets and $6.0 billion of total firm assets across separately managed accounts and private funds. The analyst will underwrite prospective investments and monitor portfolio holdings across the investment grade, high yield and credit derivative markets.
Qualifications
The successful candidate for this post will possess the following attributes and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (required);
- Graduate degree and/or a CFA charter (level 1 passed; preferred) and/or CPA;
- Minimum of 3 years of buy-side experience with fixed income investments;
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills required;
- Experience with Bloomberg, Tradeweb, Market Axess, and PORT;
- Growth oriented with a strong work ethic and drive to be successful;
- Experience in any of the following is a plus: Emerging Markets, Distressed/ Specials Situations, Credit Derivatives, Non-U.S. credit;
- Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Strong statistics and mathematical skills; and proficiency in Excel (required).
