Job Summary Statement:
As the Warehouse Manager at our solar module manufacturing plant in Brookshire, Texas, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse facilities. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse management, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to reconcile inventory levels.
- Optimize inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing excess stock.
Warehouse Operations:
- Supervise the receiving, storage, and dispatch of materials and products.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and workflows to maximize space utilization and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling and routing.
- Optimize transportation routes and shipping methods to minimize costs and lead times.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the warehouse team.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the warehouse operations.
- Implement best practices and technological solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse operations best practices.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and warehouse management software (WMS).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
