Consulting Project Manager

Due to continued growth of the practice, they are hiring a Consulting Project Manager to lead various IT projects.
The Consulting Project Manager is focused on customer-facing projects and will work closely with technical teams. This role will lead technical project implementations, integrations, and delivery. They will manage the projects’ budget and scope, interface frequently with key client stakeholders, and establish project standards.

Focus:
- Lead technology projects from proposal to close-out.
- Keep clients up to date on project milestones and overall status; identify new opportunities and provide client solutions.
- Assign team member roles and responsibilities for specific projects.
- Stay continually appraised of project status and report to leadership and stakeholders through regular meetings.
- Determine project objectives, timeline, budget, performance standards, and ensure proper documentation.
- Develop new tools and methods to improve effectiveness of project management.
- Prepare and present analysis, insights, and recommendations to support defined client project governance teams.
Skill Set:
- 5+ years of experience in project management and/or consulting in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s or higher in information technology, business, or related field.
- At least one industry certification required (PMP, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Proven experience successfully leading one or more projects in cloud migration, enterprise software, emerging technologies, IoT, networking, or related technical project.
- Proficient with software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, Trello, Jira, etc.
- Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate technical solutions and ideas to non-technical audiences.
- Superb time management skills and be able to handle multiple, simultaneous deadlines effectively and efficiently.
- Team-oriented drive with a focus on the big picture and the greater good of the company.
- Able to travel domestically up to 50%.
