We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our growing team rethinking the insulation industry.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed estimates & line-item invoices by utilizing our pricing model and CRM system.
This role will also require effective coordination with technicians and field personnel to ensure the success of each project.
Estimating experience in the construction industry is preferred.
This position will be predominantly in office and in-field scoping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Deep Understanding of Residential and Commercial Building Codes: Analyze applicable building codes in order to provide our customers with efficient insulation options that will pass inspection.
- Pricing Model Expertise: Develop deep domain knowledge of our pricing model, including accurate cost inputs such as material, labor, and overhead.
- Bid Preparation: Utilizing your understanding of applicable building codes and pricing model expertise, create accurate and timely quotes.
- Market Research: Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and industry developments to inform pricing decisions.
- Reporting: Complete new vendor paperwork from our customers in a timely and accurate manner
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the finance, procurement, and project management teams to ensure pricing strategies are effectively implemented and monitored.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in pricing and cost estimation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in estimating, pricing, cost analysis, or financial analysis, preferably within the construction industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling software; familiarity with construction management software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam) is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial analysis and reporting.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
