Project Engineer/Experienced Controls Technician
Performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support of computerized building automation systems.
- Strong background in electronics and computer networking desired.
- Works within service agreements and scheduled assignments to ensure the automation system is maintained and operating correctly.
- Responds to customer service calls (emergency, on-site, or online).
- Tests and verifies system readings, ensuring optimal system operation.
- Completes service repairs, replacements, upgrades, adjustments, and calibration on automation systems and components.
- Performs system troubleshooting and checkout and assists in automation systems startups for service-installed jobs. Coordinate electrical installation with the electrical contractor at the job site as required.
- Completes and submits written service orders and reports covering all aspects of each assignment and activity.
- Conducts training and development classes for customers on-site or at the branch.
Qualifications
- HVAC/Mechanical Knowledge- Electrical/Circuit knowledge
- Basic Project Management experience…..Can communicate with team and customer, keep scheduling on multiple projects simultaneously, and manage project financials.
- 4-8 yrs engineering technician/service experience.
- Able to design engineer using Vizio, Autocad, ETC (basic design principles and theories )
- Programming knowledge of Alerton, Delta, Distech, and/or Tridium Niagara controls
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards
