Are you an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong foundation in MW, DWDM and SDH technologies, adept at working in diverse environments such as PoP sites, data centers, exchanges, and CLS settings?
We are seeking a professional with a proven track record of collaborating with industry leaders like Google, Meta, Charter, Comcast and Zayo to deploy state-of-the-art optical data circuits and deliver innovative network solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the activation of optical data circuits using advanced technologies like Ciena 6500 and Waveserver 5/Ai to address bandwidth and performance challenges.
- Contribute to revenue growth by testing and optimizing optical circuits for customer-focused network solutions throughout North and South America.
- Oversee daily operations, including monitoring and resolving Layer 1 and Layer 2 issues such as fiber outages, hardware failures, and optical network disruptions.
- Collaborate with national field technicians to ensure physical continuity and verify end-to-end connectivity across transport equipment.
- Efficiently manage workflows under tight deadlines, coordinating with multiple departments to achieve project goals and ensure timely completion.
- Identify and resolve issues related to orders, provisioning, designs, electronics, and vendor handoffs through comprehensive troubleshooting.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in optical fiber technology and network engineering, including LAN-WAN, WAN, and routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and TCP/IP.
- Expertise in troubleshooting large enterprise network issues, with proficiency in IPv4, DHCPv6, subnetting, and multi-site communications.
- Strong competency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and Python for automation and data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects in dynamic environments, with a focus on effective communication across departments and with vendors.
