About the Role:
We are hiring for an exceptional Senior Infrastructure Engineer who will be an instrumental part of our Plenful team. This role is primarily focused on infrastructure but provides growth opportunities to take ownership of key components of the backend software stack that interface closely with the infrastructure layer. Key responsibilities include:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS.
- Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Automate deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes for efficient and reliable application delivery.
- Implement and manage observability tools (monitoring, logging, alerting) like Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance across production systems.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies across systems.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to integrate best practices for scalability and security.
- Administer containerized environments using ECS, EKS
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability management, ensuring compliance with security standards.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Strong experience with AWS based services and SQL DB’s
- Experience running python based backends
- Strong track record of success and experience in a cloud engineering role, or similar (e.g. DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure)
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools
- Exceptional problem solving skills, excellent communication (verbal & written), and a passion for innovation.
- Healthcare engineering experience is a plus
- Startup experience is a plus
