Production Supervisor
Job description
The production supervisor position is responsible for supervising employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions. The idea candidate will oversee safe and proper manufacturing of the company's products. In order to do this, the candidate will troubleshoot issues, ensure the efficient day to day operations of the company, and coordinating a team of production employees to make sure that consistent and quality goods are constantly being produced.
Essential Functions
- Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
- Balance quality, productivity, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
- Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager.
- Manage department priorities.
- Track absenteeism and timekeeping.

*Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
*this is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., 45 hours per week.
Required Education and Experience
Associate’s degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in a production environment.
- Preferred metal fabrication experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Experience in a production environment.
- Previous quality management experience.
