Blackrock Resources is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to manage safety protocols for a 15-month construction project in Canton, Ohio. The project is scheduled to begin in September 2024, and the site manager will need to work diligently throughout its duration.
The Site Manager will assist the construction team throughout the project. The Site Manager will be responsible for overall project execution and overseeing foundation and structural installation, including assisting with soliciting construction bids and evaluation. Responsibilities:
•Monitor project plans and schedules.
•Coordinate with owner, EOR and contractors for seamless execution of project.
•Ensuring all equipment needed is available on site.
•Supervise and direct construction workers and subcontractors, assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure training and safety standards compliance.
•Ensure the construction process starts and ends on time and that daily and weekly deadlines are met.
•Oversee building and equipment foundations installation, underground utilities install, and demolition activities.
•Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and all other regulations.
•Monitor engineering/construction schedule for successful project execution.
•Submit weekly construction progress updates, submit safety incident reports.
•Promptly resolve any construction issues to ensure minimal disruption to the project timeline.
Qualifications:
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a similar role for a heavy industrial facility.
•Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
•Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, and Project software, and construction management tools.
•Basic knowledge of using Navisworks.
•Thorough understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
