Salary: $80,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Paralegal with a strong background in civil litigation and fluency in Chinese to join our team in Newport Beach, CA. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supporting attorneys in complex litigation cases, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, including case preparation, discovery, trial, and post-trial activities.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Manage and organize case files, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and other parties involved in litigation.
- Translate documents and communications for Chinese-speaking clients.
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and other relevant agencies.
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support litigation cases.
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing witness lists, and coordinating logistics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on civil litigation or personal injury.
- MUST HAVE - Fluency in Chinese, both written and spoken.
- Strong understanding of civil litigation processes and procedures.
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficient in using legal research tools and software.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
