Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Procedural Recovery - Interventional Radiology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: - 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology and Emergency Department/Critical Care required. - Experience in these areas is necessary before being assigned to this position. License: - Current RN License issued by a State Nursing Board or a current multistate compact RN License. Certifications: - Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association. - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association. Must-Have: - Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Job Description: - Provide nursing care under general supervision in a specialized area. - Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients. - Document patient responses to nursing interventions and treatments; note all changes in physician orders. - Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures. - Obtain and monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary. - Administer medication and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products. - Deliver patient care competently and interact with patients and their families regarding care plans and discharge procedures. - Oversee treatment provided by technicians or other service providers. - Make referrals concerning patient care needs to appropriate personnel. - Delegate tasks to support staff and perform other duties as assigned. Skills: - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. - Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services. - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team, providing excellent specialized care. - Basic computer skills.
