A leading Employment Litigation firm in the Bay Area is seeking a talented Litigation Attorney with 5+ years of California-based civil litigation experience to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of the litigation process, from initial case assessment to trial or settlement.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft high-quality legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, and memos.
- Lead discovery efforts, including document review and the preparation of discovery-related motions and responses.
- Prepare for depositions and trials, collaborating on strategy, organizing exhibits, and managing witness lists.
- Engage in substantive motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions in court.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing strategic advice and managing expectations throughout the litigation process.
- Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
- Take on additional legal tasks as needed to support the team’s goals.
Qualifications:
- Active membership with the California State Bar.
- 3-5+ years of post-bar experience in California-based civil litigation.
- Proven ability to independently manage complex litigation cases from inception to resolution.
- Strong drafting and legal research skills, with expertise in California civil procedure and case law.
- Proficiency in eDiscovery tools and litigation technology.
- Excellent legal writing, oral advocacy, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Experience in employment litigation is a plus but not required.
