HVAC Controls Field Technician at Nova Southeastern University
Are you a skilled HVAC Controls Field Technician with experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining complex control systems? Key Responsibilities:
1. Control System Maintenance: Install, repair, adjust, troubleshoot, service, and maintain electric and pneumatic control systems for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, humidity, and laboratory equipment, including the calibration of related instruments, gauges, and controls.
2. Equipment Testing: Conduct tests of equipment to identify malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
3. Climate Control: Monitor and control temperatures, humidity, and air pressurization flow rate as directed by your supervisor.
4. Parts Management: Research and order necessary parts and supplies for equipment maintenance.
5. User Training: Instruct and advise users on the proper operation of equipment.
6. Trend Analysis: Set up and run building trends as directed.
7. Technical Expertise: Demonstrate knowledge and technical skills in the repair and maintenance of heating, ventilating, cooling/refrigeration, and kitchen equipment.
8. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Specific Requirements:
1. Emergency Availability: Must be available on call 24/7 for University emergencies.
2. Flexible Schedule: Be prepared to work rotational shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
3. Overtime: Be willing to work overtime as needed.
4. On-Call Rotation: Participate in the on-call rotation schedule.
Required Experience: Possess three (3) or more years of experience in air conditioning and HVAC systems.
Preferred Experience: 1. Three (3) or more year's experience in the HVAC controls industry including building automation systems, direct digital control (DDC), systems commissioning, software operation, integration and calibration with electronic, pneumatic, and building controls.
2. Experience working with computer systems including building automation software (BAS) and Windows.
