Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer (FSE) for PVD equipment. The FSE will provide on-site support during installation, along with after sales service and maintenance for cluster tools equipped with PVD, PECVD, ALD and etch modules. The ideal candidate will have a background in semiconductor manufacturing , knowledge of copy exact principles and hands on experience troubleshooting sputtering and evaporation processes and hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation and commissioning of cluster-based sputter and evaporation equipment at customer sites.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on PVD systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Customer Support: Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and best practices.
- Process Optimization: Collaborate with customers to optimize PVD processes and improve product yields.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service activities, equipment performance, and customer interactions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, both external and internal, to identify in-field issues, resolve, and contribute to product improvements.
- Travel: Travel to customer sites as needed, both domestically and internationally.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in operating &/or servicing PVD equipment, with a focus on cluster sputter and evaporation systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with vacuum systems and plasma technology.
- Excellent communication skills. German or Chinese language a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
