Event Coordinator (6-Month Contractor)
Our client is seeking a 6-month contractor with events experience to join our team as an Event Coordinator. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Manager, Internal Communications to support the successful delivery of major company recognition events and celebrations. From the Holiday Party in December to an Awards show in March, you will play a key role in fostering employee engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all aspects of large events/celebrations, including planning and execution.
- Collaborate with vendors for catering, transportation, setup, decorations, and entertainment.
- Attend planning meetings with vendors.
- Track tasks and take ownership of specific activities under the guidance of the Senior Manager.
- Provide direction to vendors during setup days and monitor progress.
- Collaborate with the internal multimedia team on graphics development.
- Offer input on decorations and other special touches.
- Manage and track the event budget.
- Assist with attendee registration and manage RSVPs.
- Work with HR to confirm nomination criteria and nominee eligibility.
- Enable nominations on Bravo in collaboration with the Internal Communications team.
- Review communications to ensure accuracy.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting large events.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and willing to ask questions.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Comfortable leading meetings.
- Ability to interface with vendors and internal support staff.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 10 pounds.
Must-Have:
- Proficient project management skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
