Job Description
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience/training.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software solution development, including working with agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and operating within a product model to design, develop, and implement large-scale applications or data engineering solutions.
- At least 5 years of experience in data science, business intelligence, or data analytics, with demonstrated proficiency in SQL and experience using BI tools such as Power BI, Cognos, and Tableau.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud development and data lake technologies, preferably with Microsoft Azure. Experience should include Azure EventHub, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps, and Power BI.
- Experience in development, administration, and support across several of the following tools/platforms:
- Scripting: Python, Spark, Unix, SQL
- Data Platforms: Teradata, Couchbase, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, ADLS, Snowflake, Azure Data Explorer. Administration skills are a plus.
- Azure Cloud Technologies: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps, Azure Functions.
- CI/CD Tools: GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform.
- BI Analytics Tools: Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Denodo, Grafana.
Preferred Qualifications
- Over 3 years of full-stack development experience, ideally within the Azure environment, including Azure Power Apps and Power BI.
- Experience in the airline industry is a plus.
Skills, Licenses & Certifications:
- Proven expertise with the Azure technology stack for managing data, including ingestion, capture, processing, curation, and creating consumption layers.
- Demonstrated ability to provide practical guidance within Azure native cloud services.
- Azure Development Track Certification (preferred).
- Spark Certification (preferred).
