Role: Telematics/Automotive Security Testing
Work Location: Detroit, MI - Onsite
Duration: 8 weeks Contract extendable to 10 to 12 weeks.
Conduct security testing on Telematics Box products. The ideal candidate will have a good background in embedded systems security, understanding of automotive telematics systems, and hands-on experience with various penetration testing tools and methodologies. The role involves identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the overall security posture of our telematics
Responsibilities:
Security Testing & Assessment
- Perform security assessments and penetration testing on telematics boxes, including firmware, software, hardware interfaces, and communication protocols.
- Identify, exploit, and document security vulnerabilities, including those related to wireless communication (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi), CAN bus, GPS, and cellular networks.
- Conduct vulnerability analysis of embedded systems, including reverse engineering
- Simulate and assess potential attack vectors such as spoofing, tampering, information disclosure, and denial of service (DoS).
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that security testing is aligned with automotive industry standards such as ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE WP.29, and AUTOSAR.
- Provide recommendations for meeting regulatory requirements and improving overall system security.
