Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network automation solutions to optimize and streamline network operations. This role requires a strong background in networking protocols, scripting, and automation tools to ensure the network infrastructure is efficient, scalable, and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement network automation frameworks and workflows.
- Automate repetitive network tasks such as configuration management, network provisioning, monitoring, and performance analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation into existing network infrastructure.
- Maintain and optimize network automation tools and scripts to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement automated solutions to mitigate future problems.
- Work with networking technologies such as SDN, NFV, and cloud networking platforms.
- Develop and maintain documentation for automation scripts, network diagrams, and operational processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in network automation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on automation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl for automation tasks.
- Hands-on experience with network automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLAN, TCP/IP, VPN).
- Experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their networking components.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and network orchestration tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, or similar).
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent in network automation.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and methodologies.
