CSG Talent are currently looking for a Plant Assistant Manager with experience in quarry operations including rock, gravel, cement and other construction materials. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Assistant will be as an integral member of the management team and contribute to mine operations.

Position: Assistant Plant Manager
Role Responsibilities:
- Serve as an integral member of the management team.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the mine plan.
- Assist in creating and managing the annual operating budget.
- Act as a representative of the company within the local community.
- Lead the onsite team, both salaried and hourly staff, to achieve the company's business goals safely.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and enhance operational efficiencies.
- Develop and mentor both hourly and salaried employees through regular coaching and feedback.
- Proactively manage employee health and safety to improve overall safety performance.
- Maintain a robust maintenance program ensuring all assets are well-maintained, with critical spares available while minimizing inventory costs.
- Collaborate with departments such as safety, environment, sales, quality control, labor relations, and human resources to achieve key business objectives.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of aggregates production and related equipment and processes.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the aggregates industry or a closely related field.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, data-driven approach with solid project management skills.
- Dedication to team success with the ability to overcome challenges and meet objectives.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety, health, and regulatory compliance.
- Enthusiasm for career growth towards becoming a Plant Manager.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree.
- Over 5 years of experience in crushed stone production.
- Familiarity with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).
- Experience engaging with external stakeholders such as regulatory agencies, community organizations, or local chambers of commerce.
