The IBMi Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for the IBMi Series servers and all associated systems and components. This role is responsible for ensuring zero unscheduled downtime to maintain the efficiency and reliability of our systems. for the IBMi production environment. This role requires proven experience installing, managing, and maintaining IBMi systems. The Senior Systems Administrator is expected to provide primary support for the IBMi systems, leveraging their expertise and experience. While IBM support is available, the role emphasizes utilizing in-house knowledge and skills to maintain and optimize system performance. The role requires managing our FTP server and applying PTF patches for compliance and security. Disaster recovery is a key initiative, and it is critical that the Senior Systems Administrator orchestrate the failover and failback from our disaster recovery site.
Major Responsibilities
- Install, manage, and maintain IBMi power systems and their associated systems
- Apply PTF patches to all instances monthly\
- Configure, manage, and test backup and system recovery
- Configure, test failover and failback disaster recovery, using Mimix replication
- Configure, manage, and maintain GoAnywhere FTP server
- Configure, manage, and maintain HMS crypto cards
- Configure, manage, and maintain DCM (adding and removing certificates)
- Work with vendors to manage our UPS and generator at corporate HQ

Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years demonstrated experience with IBM iSeries administration required
- IBM Power 9+ hardware experience required
- IBM FS9000 storage experience or similar SAN storage technology preferred
- IBM Tape library experience required
- IBM Crypto card experience preferred
- Knowledge of iACS configuration & Kerberos authentication preferred
- Experience with Mimix required
- Experience with GoAnywhere or other similar FTP applications preferred
- Experience with Turnover lifecycle Management software preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of CL programming or basic scripting required
- Experience with any of the following software is a plus: Sequel/Esend, KeyesMail, Alliance logging, IMS/21 imaging, TAATools, Hawkeye, Progen Plus, GETURI, and DBU
- Experience concurrently managing multiple tasks in addition to short-term and long-term projects preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of security best practices is required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position will require some after hours and weekend work.
Travel
Occasional travel to our corporate headquarters may be required. Occasional travel to our primary datacenter, in Plano, Texas is expected as needed. Rare travel to Denver, Colorado disaster recovery site might also be needed (expect less than one trip per year with eligible expenses
reimbursed)

This position will be 100% remote, except for travel noted above. Reliable power, internet, and cell phone to be provided by employee is expected.
