A New York City-based healthcare network is currently seeking an experienced healthcare professional to join their leadership team in Queens as their new Director of Regulatory Affairs.
Responsibilities:
The Director of Regulatory Affairs will:
- Identify areas needing improvement and design continuous measurement of performance metrics and outcomes
- Create and deliver educational and training programs on compliance, safety, quality improvement, and ongoing regulatory readiness
- Investigate incident reports, patient complaints, grievances, and patient care issues, ensuring prompt resolution of safety and quality compliance concerns
- Coordinate and facilitate regulatory agency inspections, including tracer rounds, survey preparations, on-site accompaniment, reporting, and corrective actions
- Collaborate with department heads and administrators to ensure compliance with applicable standards, laws, and regulations, implementing consistent regulatory programs
- Develop and lead educational programs on regulatory standards and requirements to ensure ongoing staff readiness and compliance
- Review, interpret, and advise on regulatory and accreditation standards, assisting with pre-survey preparations and addressing potential deficiencies
- Prepare and deliver presentations on regulatory affairs topics to inform and guide the department
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- 3-5 years progressive experience in operations management, quality or regulatory management, project management, and/or change management within the healthcare industry
- Knowledge of data reporting procedures by NDNQI, TJC, IPRO, and DOH
- Excellent communication, analytical, and investigative skills
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree in Public Health, Business Administration or related field
- CPHQ/Lean Six Sigma Certification
