Currently, we would like to add a highly experienced and motivated Linux System Administrator The ideal System Administrator will have extensive experience in managing, maintaining, and optimizing Linux environments. You will work on complex projects, and ensure the stability, security, and scalability of our infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers.
- Oversee and perform system updates, patches, and regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, and proactively resolve issues.
- Design and implement advanced system security measures, including firewalls, SELinux, and secure SSH configurations.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and use configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) to streamline administration tasks.
- Manage virtualization platforms (e.g., KVM, VMware) and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Architect and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Create and maintain detailed system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and change management logs.
- Participate in and lead on-call rotations, providing expert-level support during emergency situations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our systems remain cutting-edge.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator, with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in shell scripting and advanced scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- In-depth understanding of networking concepts and services (DNS, DHCP, NFS, SMTP, SNMP).
- Extensive experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
