The Harper Harrison team has engaged with a new client in the Dallas area who focuses on structural engineering. We have been tasked on a Structural Engineer PE role in the Dallas area, see details below:

- Structural Engineering Firm founded in 1999, with offices in San Francisco and Chicago comprised of around 40 employees between both offices.
- Newly opened office in Dallas with huge plans of investment to scale the business.
- Project market sectors include Mission Critical, Commercial & Retail, Science & Technology, Academic, Healthcare, Hospitality, and Seismic Retrofit.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the production side, oversee junior staff and drafting staff.
- Comfortable communicating with clients and contractors.
- Problem solve and get involved with exciting cutting-edge technology.
- Carry out and implement the plans, goals, objectives, and directives
- perform assigned project tasks and be technically accurate, on time, within the budget
- Calculations and/or development and analysis of a structural model
- Response to RFI’s and preparation of revision sketches

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering/structural engineering
- 1-6 years of experience in structural engineering
- EIT required, licensed PE in the state of Texas preferred
- Knowledgeable in: Risa3D, Enercalc, SAP, ETABS, RAM, MS Excel, MS Word
- Experience with one of the following: wood, steel, concrete or masonry.
- Experience in at least one of the following building/project types: URM/concrete retrofit, K-12 school, Community Colleges, 2-story or more wood frame, 2-story or more steel frame, Concrete tilt-up, 2-way podium slab design
