Smithville Communications has an immediate opportunity for a Director, Information Security for an onsite position in Ellettsville, Indiana. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and maintain the Information Security policy, identify risk exposures and ensure best practices are employed.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Information Security, policy development and privacy regulations within the telecommunications industry or other highly regulated business environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for assessing compliance and developing a set of policies and practices that protect sensitive corporate and customer data.
- Perform ongoing cyber business risk analysis
- Develop and maintain the collective Information Security policy doctrine for Smithville Corporate and ISP networks
- Establish and govern an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities for development of information-based capabilities
- Evaluate new threat information, industry trends, proposed legislation, or legal cases that establish precedents
- Develop and implement an incident response plan for a data breach
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Management, Cyber Law or Information Security preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity or Technology
- Experience with policy development, information management and privacy regulations
- Strong knowledge and skills in business risk analysis and risk management
- Experience with information management and associated privacy regulations a plus
