Overseeing Production for OMRON Automation Americas, the Manufacturing Supervisor is directly responsible for the successful operations of the assigned Production area. To this end they will ensure safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency goals by guaranteeing production staff are properly trained, performing their work adequately, properly utilizing equipment and meeting the production schedule. They will also be responsible for supervisory activities as it relates to their staff; including but not limited to, hiring, training, termination, rewarding, discipline, and monitoring. The supervisor coordinates and elevates issues as they arise to ensure timely solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee production operations to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Monitor production performance and work with Operations management to achieve goals in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all operators are properly trained to perform the tasks assigned them.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure production schedules and outputs are met.
- Recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and work conditions.
- Quickly escalate to other departments as necessary to resolve problems that affect attainment of the production schedule.
- Monitor the condition of tooling and fixtures and coordinates the repair, modification, or construction of new tooling or fixtures.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance and Production Operators to achieve and maintain high quality product outputs.
- Monitor production status and provide daily reports to management and other appropriate personnel.
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the production staff in the assigned area.
Job Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Five years of experience in the manufacturing of electronic components
- Three years of supervisory experience in high-change environment with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a production team for a global technology company
- Documented expertise in an ERP / MRP as it relates to the manufacturing of electronic components (experience with JDE preferred)
- Demonstrated strength in written and oral communication with technically driven customers and staff
