Position Overview:
As a Tier 1 System Administrator you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing essential technical support and troubleshooting assistance. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about technology, has a knack for problem-solving, and enjoys helping others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level support for end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and chat, delivering exceptional customer service.
- Document and escalate issues as needed, ensuring timely resolution.
- Assist in the setup and configuration of desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Take ownership of escalated issues from Level 1, providing in-depth technical support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software problems.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless resolution of issues.
- Perform system upgrades, installations, and configurations.
- Utilize Microsoft technologies, including Windows OS, Office 365, and Active Directory.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft applications and services.
- Implement and manage security features within the Microsoft technology stack.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate and optimize Microsoft solutions for end-users.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a helpdesk or technical support role at a Managed Service Provider.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with Office 365, Active Directory, and common networking concepts.
- Understanding of hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundations, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
