Tarvos Talent is partnering with a client located in Madison, Wisconsin to search for a ETL Developer to join their team! Responsibilities:
Working autonomously you will need to do the following:
- Understand, obtain and establish business requirements from internal business units as it relates to the use and sources of data.
- Establish needs and usage of date within the organization and source the appropriate tools and platforms to be used within the design of the organization's data infrastructure with a priority of maintaining data integrity.
- Setup internal central data warehouse.
- Build data pipelines from multiple sources.
- Setup data visualization tools to enable users to customize their own reports.
- Put controls in place for business continuity purposes.
- Maintain data infrastructure systems.
- Document overall architecture, process, diagrams, etc.
- Support data-related systems and platforms.
Requirements:
- Minimum of seven years of experience writing production code in a professional setting.
- Basic programming experience in Python.
- Strong SQL experience (ideally in Postgres and MySQL), including query writing and performance optimization.
- Experience doing ETL and working with related tools.
- Previous experience setting up data storage - data warehouse.
- Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation of systems.
- Experience implementing automated testing and monitoring into BI systems to quickly identify failures and maintain high availability and correctness.
- Working knowledge of version control systems
- High level of computer proficiency, organization, and strong attention to detail.
- Empower an organization by implementing data visualization, dashboards.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently.
- Must be able to work onsite 5 days/week.
- Must be US citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Prior experience designing and implementing ETL systems or pipelines.
- Experience with one or more data visualization/exploration or BI tools
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools
- Background in on-premise/self-hosted environments, heavily leveraging open-source software.
