Job Summary:
The plant engineer/facility manager is responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of all equipment and the facilities of the manufacturing plant. This will require strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all employees in the maintenance department. Schedule assign and prioritize all maintenance tasks.
- Manufacturing Equipment Planning: Oversee all projects for new equipment installation equipment relocation and equipment removal. Create a detailed project plan to address each task associated with the project. Ensure that all equipment project tasks are completed safely and legally.
- Maintenance Planning: Development and implement maintenance plans to ensure equipment and facilities are in good working conditions.
- Preventative Maintenance: Oversee preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting: Lead troubleshooting efforts and manage repairs of equipment and facilities.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and oversee the design and delivery of training programs for the maintenance team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as production and quality to ensure smooth operations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance-related data for future reference and compliance period.
- Ensure the quality of product by following area procedures and filling out appropriate documentation records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training.
- A minimum of five years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Leadership skills and the ability to make strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong mechanical and industrial electronics knowledge.
- Knowledge of PLC control systems required.
- Hands-on experience with at least one or more popular PLC control systems preferred.
