The Intersect Group is seeking a Lead Network Engineer for a hybrid role based in Nashville, TN, requiring on-site 2 days a week. The ideal candidate will have 15 years of experience in Azure, DevOps, and network engineering.
Requirements:
- 15 years of experience in Azure and DevOps.
- Advanced knowledge of network routing and switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, MPLS.
- Proficiency in Juniper and Cisco configurations, VXLAN, SD-WAN (Palo Alto CloudGenix).
- Expertise in Azure cloud networking and data center architectures.
- Deep understanding of voice platforms, wireless technology (Aruba), and network reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Clear and responsive communication with team members, management, leadership, customers, PMO, vendors, and architects.
- Track and resolve tasks, drive updates to resolution.
- Lead technology deployments and document standard processes.
- Manage complex technology installations and new architecture standards.
- Organize project design with PMO, delegate work, and act as technical project manager.
- Write and approve Knowledge Base articles and lead specialized team training.
- Develop cross-departmental relationships and contribute to the support roadmap.
- Represent networking in change and architecture review boards.
- Communicate with leadership on high-priority issues.
- Participate in strategy and architectural design sessions.
- Answer questions on network design and operations.
- Work with vendors on product roadmaps and lifecycle needs.
- Improve capacity and redundancy with circuit carriers.
- Define and manage documentation standards.
- Create network documentation, architectural diagrams, and standard procedures.
- Document repeatable resolutions and approve Knowledge Base articles.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide escalated support for all networking issues.
- Lead P1 troubleshooting and support change initiatives.
