We are looking for an Internal On-site Supervisor to manage employees for one of our awesome clients in Salt Lake City, UT.
The ideal candidate:
- MUST HAVE FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE OR BE WILLING TO LEARN.
- Must have management experience.
- Staffing and/or industrial warehousing experience is preferred.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and multitasking.
- Strong communication skills to act as the liaison between clients, branch associates, and clients.
- Professional demeanor.
- Proficient with computers and systems, with the capacity to learn additional programs.
- Training will be provided for Swipejobs and Simple VMS; must master both programs for daily use.
- Flexible schedule availability.
- Willingness to work occasionally on off days to handle emergencies or issues that require management assistance.
- Understanding that operations may run 7 days a week.
Position Summary:
As our On-site Supervisor you will supervise and manage associates according to company and customer policies at the customer site. Address policy and/or performance violations after investigation and take appropriate action through coaching and counseling or termination based on investigation. Work closely with customer on day-to-day needs, address concerns and build customer relationship. Contribute to and roll out of company policies. On-site safety inspections and safety investigations.
Based on work-site and customer set up, may recruit, interview, hire and on-board staffing associates at the customer site. Otherwise, work in coordination with supporting Branch location to meet staffing needs for on-site customer.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Primary Duties and Other Responsibilities include the following:
Selectively exercise sound judgment in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, placement and training of all associates ordered from customers and in compliance with State and Federal laws.
Complete Form I-9 and E-Verify according to the law.
Evaluate customer and market needs and develop comprehensive strategies for obtaining the best possible candidates in conjunction with Marketing.
Maintains accurate employee records for all employees and document associate interaction including job offers by open position and acceptance or refusal reason linked to position.
Verify all customer requirements are met prior to assigning or recommending an associate to an assignment.
Coach and counsel placements when they fail to perform adequately for the customer and participate in the termination of placements who do not perform adequately. Manage records of attendance, performance, investigations and counseling and counseling.
Report and investigate injuries, harassment, bullying, violence, and discrimination complaints from associates.
