Sr. Network Engineer

Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000 + Discretionary Bonus
SUMMARY:
We are looking to hire an experienced Senior Network Engineer to manage and maintain our company's enterprise network. Ultimately, you will be responsible for the functional management of our network, the delegation of tasks, and the resolution of network issues.
To ensure success as a senior network engineer, you should have extensive experience working with enterprise networks and advanced project management skills. A Top-class Senior Network Engineer ensures maintaining the stability and performance of the network.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN), including configuring and installing software, servers, routers, and other network devices
- Monitor network performance and integrity
- Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
- Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
- Communicate with users when needed
- Maintain complete technical documentation
- Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability
DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & EDUCATION:
- Several years of expeirnece working in a Network Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Sr. Network/Systems Administrator role with relative industry expeirnece (i.e., Advertising Services, Media & Entertainment, Broadcasting)
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or combined experience
- Professional certification (e.g. CCNP, CCDP)
- Strong understanding of network architectures and expeirnece deploying, configuring, and maintaining Cisco and Juniper technologies
- In-depth understanding of networking protocols (i.e., TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
- Familiarity with access control models and network security (i.e., Firewalls)
- Knowledge of automation scripting languages (i.e., Python, Perl)
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (i.e., SolarWinds)
- Experience configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting Citrix VPN
- Ability to administer, manage, and maintain VMware virtual infrastructures
- Exposure to public cloud service providers (i.e., AWS or Azure)
- Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
- Highly skilled troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently
- Organizational and mentoring skills
