Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor a team of CNC Machinists and Programmers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Optimize Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the machine shop, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity in a 24/7 environment.
- Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including maintenance and engineering, to minimize downtime and enhance machine performance.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement production schedules, preventative maintenance plans, and process improvements to meet business goals.
- Quality Assurance: Uphold high standards of precision and quality, ensuring all products meet or exceed client specifications.
- Growth and Development: Play a key role in expanding our machining capabilities and contributing to the company’s long-term success.
What We’re Looking For:
- Machining Expertise: Experience in machining or job shop environments, with a solid understanding of CNC operations and programming. Specific experience with high-end, large-envelope, 5-axis machines is a plus, but not required.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and develop teams, with at least 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, ERP systems, and interpreting mechanical drawings (GD&T experience is a plus).
- Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Adaptability: Comfortable managing competing demands and navigating changes in a dynamic work environment.
Education and Experience:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Technical Education, Engineering, or a related field.
- Required: Minimum of 7 years of experience in machining, with supervisory or management experience.
