Role Overview: As the Pharmacy Director, you will oversee all aspects of our pharmacy operations, ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient use of medications. You will provide strategic leadership, manage pharmacy staff, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and support our organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the pharmacy department, including staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Oversee medication management, including procurement, storage, and dispensing processes.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes.
Monitor and analyze pharmacy performance metrics, and implement quality improvement initiatives.
Manage the pharmacy budget, including cost control and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to pharmacy practice.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in pharmacotherapy to drive innovation within the department.
Qualifications:
PharmD or equivalent degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
Current pharmacist license in Idaho or ability to get
years of progressive experience in pharmacy management, including leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, clinical pharmacy practices, and medication therapy management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage budgets and drive performance improvement.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and pharmacy management systems.
