Our client, a Legal Database, is looking for an Illinois Criminal Law Attorney to join their team remotely on a 2 month contract for 5-15 hours per week.
This role pays $50/hour on W-2
Responsibilities:
- Draft various forms within their practice area. contain alternate/optional clauses, and drafting notes providing drafting tips/guidance/red flags/jurisdiction-specific nuances etc.
- These forms are written for an attorney who may not be familiar with that particular form/jurisdiction and is seeking drafting guidance.
Qualifications:
• Law degree from an accredited law school
• Member, in good standing, of the Illinois State Bar
• 3+ years of experience as a practicing criminal law attorney
• Substantive experience drafting motions, affidavits, and other related criminal law documents.
• Excellent writing, editing, and legal research skills
• Comfortable working in Microsoft Word with track changes and conducting online research
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to complete assigned projects by prescribed deadlines
• Organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks effectively
