We are looking for an onsite Field Service Representative (FSR) who will be a critical member of the Persistent Systems Air Force Technical Team supporting the Counter-small Unmanned Aerial System (C-sUAS) program and other Persistent System endeavors. The FSR will provide forward, hands-on support in sustaining our customer’s C-sUAS Mobile System solution. This role will be embedded within customer operations and will be critical to developing long-term customer relationships. The location for this will be Cheyenne, WY. The onsite FSR will serve as a member of the onsite technical team and become a subject-matter expert in the support of Wave Relay® communication solutions and will be responsible for the technical aspects offered to our customers. The FSR will have daily direct and recurring interaction with our customers and will play a pivotal role in communicating technical challenges to our Project Field Operations Representatives. This role is integral in supporting project development with direct insight into customer challenges and project needs.
Position Responsibilities
- Execute work orders related to deployment of line replaceable/shop replaceable C-sUAS Mobile System equipment located on-site according to scope of work, planning/service level agreements and quality standards
- Acts as the end user’s primary technical point of contact ensuring rapid solution to any reported issues
- Conduct equipment checks (pre-departure & PMCS) on C-sUAS Mobile System equipment installed on ground vehicles
- Identify areas of potential improvement in equipment, training and support and elevate to Project Field Operations Representatives
- Maintain expert knowledge of Persistent Systems products and solutions
- Remove/install C-sUAS Mobile System equipment into a variety of platforms and configurations
- Coordinate with Active-Duty Air Force personnel and perform required data collection, firmware updates, inventory and equipment checks
- Maintain accurate inventory of all components and consumable items
- Provide project technical assistance, product education, and training to Air Force personnel
- Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for all C-sUAS Mobile System components
Minimum Qualifications
- 1 year of experience as an FSR or equivalent experience
- 1 year of experience with tactical and/or strategic radio communications systems
- Strong understanding of technical concepts such as wireless, GPS, mobile, RF propagation with an understanding of hardware and software concepts
- Proven troubleshooting experience with communications systems and architectures
- Experience conducting training for small groups
- Experience with managing equipment inventory and readiness
- Must be available to travel at least 25% of the time
- Must have, or be able to obtain a United States Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or other technical discipline
- Air Force Security Forces or Missile Field background
- Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA), CompTIA A+ or other IAT Level I certification in accordance with DoD 8570 guidance
- MANET or Wave Relay® experience
- DoD Information Assurance experience
- Strong tactical mindset and incorporating technology into operations.
- Experience supporting Line of Site and Beyond Line of Site communications networks
- System testing and evaluation experience
- Understanding of ADB and rooting Android Devices
- Smart phone and tablet computer configuration experience
- Configuration management experience
- Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking System (COLTS) or similar IUID equipment tracking system experience
