Job Description
The firm are searching for an experienced, highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer with prior experience designing Mechanical systems for Data Centers and Mission Critical Facilities. Prior experience should include Cooling Towers, Chillers, Glycol Systems, Air Cooled Systems, In Row Cooling/Rear Door Heat Exchange, and various Mission Critical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems for Data Center Facilities with reliability, efficiency, and compliance at the forefront.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for design and documentation.
- Apply knowledge of engineering principles and best practice to assignments in related fields.
- Make informed decisions regarding engineering methods and techniques.
- Consult with management on critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.
- Develop test procedures and provide support during the commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Provide engineering solutions incorporating life cycle cost analysis and energy efficiency.
- Evaluate existing facilities and systems making considerations which affect the design.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience designing mechanical systems for Data Center Facilities.
- Knowledge of Cooling Towers, Chillers, Glycol Systems, Air Cooled Systems, In Row Cooling/Rear Door Heat Exchange, and various Mission Critical equipment.
- Ability to integrate reliability and efficiency into mechanical system designs.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to apply engineering principles.
- Effectively communicate technical solutions both orally and in writing.
- Experience with advanced techniques being able to modify and extend theories, precepts, and practices in the field.
- Develop test procedures and support the commissioning of electrical equipment.
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering with at least 5+ years in Data Center Facilities.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D design and Revit design.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
