We're currently hiring for a 3rd line support engineer with a solid technical background and strong experience in IT systems. Whilst direct 1st/2nd line support is covered in a separate team this role will be focused on investigating a range of higher-level technical issues across the business group which runs as a global operation. As the business spans across the US and South America, fluent Spanish is essential.
You would be dealing with a wide range of technologies that includes; Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016-2022, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Office 365, Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, and RDS. Whilst there would also be a need for a good understanding of network technologies such as DHCP, vLANS, routing, and VPNs.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- At least 5 years’ experience in similar role
- Good understanding of general server, storage and networking technologies with the ability to install Servers
- Solid experience and understanding of installation, configuration and maintenance of Windows Server 2008 R2 upwards
- Understanding and experience working with file services such as NAS and DFS
- Basic SQL Server configuration and troubleshooting
- Experience in the installation and use of MS Office 365
- Good working knowledge of VMware ESX, vSphere Platform
- Proficient in all aspects of Active directory including Domains, Organizational Units, FSMO roles, DHCP, DNS, the creation, testing and assignment of Group Policy objects
- Ability to manage incidents through to resolution
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- ITIL processes and desire to follow processes with little formal control
