Chameleon Technologies is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Technician for our direct client in Woodinville, WA. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity.
This position is onsite in Woodinville, WA and is a night shift opportunity. The schedule is 10:30PM - 7:00AM Monday to Friday with occasional starts on Sunday.
Chameleon Technologies is searching for a talented Electro-Mechanical Technician. In this role, you will lead a team of technicians in the assembly and operation of cutting-edge piping and process machinery. You will play a crucial role in driving innovation, overseeing complex projects, and collaborating with engineers, technicians, machinists, and fabricators.
This is an onsite role with no remote work. The Electro-Mechanical Technician will be required to work onsite in the facility in Woodinville, WA and attend quarterly company events in the Seattle area. These events are geared towards fostering connections between colleagues, building a strong team, and having fun together.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of technicians in the assembly of piping and process machinery, including pneumatics, hydraulics and industrial controls per drawings/schematics.
- Collaborate with managers on project scheduling and resource planning.
- Testing, commissioning and operation of test stands and pilot plants by following work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Troubleshooting and providing technical feedback on complex assemblies.
- Analyzing, and implementing improvements to fabrication and assembly processes.
- Devising and implementing new quality control measures.
- Supporting a variety of projects in a fast-paced, dynamic research environment.
- Provide design and process related feedback in close collaboration with machinists and engineers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A.A. or B.S. in Engineering or Science.
- Trade school certificate with 5+ years of relevant experience will also be considered.
- 3+ years of industry experience in oil and gas, chemical processing, custom machinery/automation equipment.
- Basic fabrication skills with intermediate knowledge of electro-mechanical systems (pneumatics, hydraulics, drives, PLC).
- Metrology experience (optical comparator, smart height gauge, handheld measurement tools).
- Desire and ability to be a leader in personnel safety and teamwork dynamics.
- Able to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
- Able to adapt to changing requirements quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently of direct supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint), as well as chat and teleconferencing applications (e.g. Teams, Slack).
- Consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws, the ability to pass a drug and alcohol test based on customer site requirements.
Bonus Qualifications:
- 5+ years of industry experience in oil and gas, chemical processing, or a similar field.
- Experience maintaining and operating chemical processing equipment.
- Impeccable organization, prioritization, time management, and planning skills.
- Highly self-motivated with good track record of independently making decisions and finding solutions to complex problems.
- Mechanical design and drafting (CAD) experience.
- Working in a research and development or related environment.
