Our client is seeking a Product Support Technician/Technical Support & Installation Tech in Troy, MI.
Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Support and Installation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
Key Responsibilities:
Telematics and DVR Setup:
Set up telematics devices
Configure Mobile DVRs
Provisioning of products
Database and SIM Management:
Database management
SIM card activations
Technical Support:
Provide technical support for installation, repairs, and other issues
Offer internal technical support
Interface with accounting for technical matters
Engineering Support:
Collaborate with engineers to implement designs
Create solutions to system challenges
Create and update schematics
Documentation:
Maintain installation documents
Create and maintain how-to and FAQ documents
Document device setup
Document systems and parts sent to customers
Document inventory received and transferred to Phoenix
Inventory and Shipping:
Create inventory orders
Ship products to customers
Receive items for projects and general inventory
Pre-Sales Support:
Provide pre-sales support
Skills & Requirements
Qualifications:
Strong technical skills and experience with telematics devices and Mobile DVRs
Proficiency in database management and SIM card activations
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and other team members
Strong documentation and organizational skills
Experience in inventory management and shipping processes
Effective communication skills for providing technical support and interfacing with accounting
