Position Overview:
The Administrative Law Attorney will provide legal representation and advice to our clients, focusing on matters involving administrative law, particularly those related to law enforcement. This role will work hand-in-hand with law enforcement officers in Utah that are members of a labor organization. The successful candidate will be a motivated, detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of administrative law and a passion for advocating on behalf of our clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and representation in administrative hearings, disciplinary proceedings, and other related matters.
- Advise law enforcement personnel on legal rights, responsibilities, and procedural options.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including motions, briefs, and legal correspondence.
- Conduct thorough legal research and stay up-to-date with changes in administrative law and regulations.
- Collaborate with other attorneys in the firm to develop case strategies and ensure the best outcomes for clients.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and understanding of their legal needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Utah Bar Admission: Must be an active member in good standing with the Utah State Bar.
- Strong Legal Research and Writing Skills: Ability to conduct detailed legal research and draft compelling legal documents.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
- Negotiation and Advocacy Skills: Proven ability to negotiate favorable outcomes for clients and effectively advocate on their behalf.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in legal analysis and document preparation.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and work collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Utah administrative law and procedures.
- Prior experience representing clients in disciplinary or grievance proceedings.
Salary: Starting at $115,000
