Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a Quality Assurance Manager for one of our clients focused on pharmaceutical manufacturing located in South Memphis, TN. This is a great opportunity for someone to transition into a manager role with OTC QA/QC background.
As the Quality Assurance Manager you will manage quality personnel and operations to assure conformance to all regulatory, quality system, and customer requirements.
Essential Functions
- Maintain the employee training program including conducting and/or coordinating training and ensuring training files and documentation are current.
- Monitor the performance of Quality processes, personnel and methods to assure conformance to regulatory, quality system, and customer requirements.
- Assess the effectiveness of processes, current specifications, test methods and personnel performance.
- Assess regulatory compliance of deviation investigations, CAPAs, customer complaints, and document control.
- Participate in customer audits and Regulatory Audits/Inspections.
- Oversee ongoing production inspections
- Establish departmental operating budget, guidelines and practice
- Monitor and maintain the department personnel and material resources to meet departmental commitments
- Provide evaluation and performance rating for departmental personnel
- Ensure that department operation and practices comply with OSHA, material handling and facility safety requirements.
Required Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a relevant industry (pharmaceutical, OTC, medical device)
- Ability to use sound judgment and demonstrate consistent decision-making.
- Must have computer skills including excel, word and email
- Must be familiar with the relevant standards and regulatory requirements (ISO, GMP, etc.)
